Privacy Policy
Effective July 24, 2026
The short version
UnFight is built so that we cannot read what you write. Everything you enter in the app — sessions, saved messages, agreements, weekly check-ins, notes — is stored on your device, not on our servers. There are no accounts, no analytics or advertising SDKs, and no tracking. The app connects to the internet only for Apple purchases (handled by Apple's App Store) and for web links you choose to open. Like any app, its data may be included in your own iCloud or computer backups of your iPhone, which Apple's backup settings govern. Text you copy or share leaves UnFight's control once it's on your clipboard or in another app.
Who we are
UnFight ("we", "us") operates the UnFight iPhone application and this website. Contact: ran.gray.james@gmail.com.
Data stored on your device only
The following never leaves your phone and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:
- Everything you type or select in any flow (resets, private writing, messages you draft, partner sessions, weekly resets, agreements, appreciations, notes)
- Your onboarding quiz answers and detected patterns
- Progress, streak-free activity history, and achievements
- Settings and preferences
This data lives in the app's local database on your device and is included in your normal iPhone backup, governed by Apple's backup encryption — not by us.
What we do not collect
- No account, name, email, or phone number is required or collected
- No analytics, usage tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs
- No advertising or ad identifiers
- No location data
- No contact list, photo, or microphone access
- We never see, store, or transmit the content of your entries — including text that triggers the app's on-device safety screen, which is never logged anywhere
Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple under your Apple ID and Apple's own privacy policy — we never see your payment details. To validate purchases and unlock Premium across reinstalls, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous random identifier and purchase receipt data (product, price, currency, transaction dates). It never receives your name, contact details, or any content you write. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Notifications
Reminders (follow-ups, weekly reset, trial-ending) are scheduled locally on your device with generic wording. They never contain the content of your entries and are never sent through a server.
Face ID
The optional app lock uses Apple's Face ID / passcode APIs. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and never reaches the app, us, or any third party.
Your controls
- Export: Settings → Export my data produces a readable file of everything stored.
- Delete: Settings → Delete all data permanently erases everything. Because we keep no copies, deletion is immediate and irreversible — and there is nothing for us to delete on any server, because we cannot delete what we never receive.
- Uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device (subject to your iPhone backups).
Children
UnFight is intended for adults and rated 13+. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them (we do not collect personal information from anyone).
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
